Recent Publication: Is Music Not of Female Gender? (2004)

The book was published by the NCGW with the financial support of the General Secretariat for Equality. Written by a woman who is a pianist, music teacher and author, it examines the life and work of female composers and musical performers. It highlights the contributions of women to the field of music, which have remained relatively unknown and unappreciated. Presentations of the book, accompanied by concerts performing music by women composers, are given at various cultural centers. The book is an important addition to the effort to profile the Greek woman.
